Wedding Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

2. We agree that The Chapel will be clean and tidy upon completion of our function.

3. All breakages must be paid for.

4. We understand that the fee of $500 is held as a non-refundable deposit and is payable at the time of booking. This will be credited towards our hire of the Chapel if the function proceeds as outlined here. It will not be refunded if the function fails to proceed as outlined in this agreement.

5. Should our function date change or be postponed, our deposit will be credited to another date if a) the new date and time is available. b) a new agreement is entered into. (Please note that price increase may be incurred in this process) c) if the management of the Chapel re-book the cancelled date and time.

6. The balance of the total cost is payable one month before our function. Payments will not be accepted on the day of the function. We regret that personal cheques will not be accepted for final payments. If final payment has not been received one week prior to our ceremony, we acknowledge The Old St Thomas Chapels right to not make the chapel available for our function.

7. Should our needs change for any reason we agree to pay for any additional requirements if a fee is incurred by The Old St Thomas Chapel or if extra time is required.

8. We agree if there is another function scheduled after ours, we will pay a cash bond of $100 with our final payment. This one hundred dollars will be refunded to us on the function day if we and our guests leave the Chapel grounds on time. If we do not leave the grounds on time, the $100 will be given to the following function to compensate for the time taken out of their hiring of The Chapel.

9. Should for any reason the ceremony not commence within 30 mins of the agreed ceremony start time above, The Old St Thomas Chapel reserves the right to postpone the ceremony until after all other functions on the day.

10. All our own decorations/candles/ music etc required for our ceremony will be given to the office staff by three days before our ceremony. Chapel staff will not guarantee music working if given after this time. Every care will be taken with equipment/decorations left overnight in the Chapel however no responsibility will be taken.

11. Organising a time for the rehearsal is the responsibility of the bride and groom/bridal couple. Please see our info sheet for available times.

12. Lost property items left after a function will be kept for two weeks. Unclaimed items after this time will be disposed of unless communication has been received.

13. All prices include GST. Should any changes to the GST legislation occur between the time of booking and our function we understand that any additional costs to the proprietors shall be passed on to us as an additional charge.

14. If there is an event or circumstance that renders our performance of this agreement unlawful or a threat to health and safety, then we reserve the right to cancel this booking. In the event this occurs to the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to a refund of amounts paid by you prior to cancellation.
